      US Oil and Gas Rig Count Declines as Prices Decrease

      The latest report from Baker Hughes indicates a decrease in the national oil and gas rig count, which fell by three to a total of 545 rigs. This marks a significant decline from the previous year when there were 583 rigs operating across the country.

      In the Permian Basin, the rig count remained stable at 242 rigs, although this figure is down from 289 rigs active in the same region a year ago. The report highlights that the number of rigs targeting oil remains unchanged at 411, while 127 rigs are focused on natural gas extraction.
