Transportation Secretary Predicts Lower Air Travel Costs Post-War

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has stated that air travel is expected to become more affordable following the conclusion of the ongoing conflict in Iran. He expressed confidence that prices will eventually drop below pre-war levels.

Recent reports indicate that Delta Air Lines has experienced a significant increase in jet fuel prices, which have doubled over the past month. Delta CEO Ed Bastian acknowledged that these rising costs may lead to higher fares for consumers.

In response to the situation, Duffy noted that many airlines are currently absorbing the increased fuel expenses rather than passing them on to passengers. This suggests that while costs have risen, airlines are attempting to mitigate the impact on travelers for the time being.
