US Supercore Consumer Price Index Sees Notable Increase in August

The Supercore Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the United States rose to 0.511% in August, a significant increase from the previous month's rate of 0.189%. This uptick reflects ongoing inflationary pressures in the economy.

Year-over-year, the Supercore CPI has now reached 3.022%, up from 2.843% recorded earlier. This measure, which excludes food and energy prices, is closely monitored by economists and policymakers as an indicator of underlying inflation trends.
