Japanese Firm Remixpoint Goes All-In on Bitcoin, Dumps Entire Altcoin Portfolio
Key Takeaways
- On September 1, 2026, Remixpoint liquidated its complete portfolio of Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin
- The divestment of alternative cryptocurrencies yielded approximately $742,000 in net profits
- Among all positions, only Dogecoin resulted in a loss of $21,000 relative to its fiscal year book valuation
- The company’s cryptocurrency treasury now consists exclusively of 1,506 Bitcoin valued above $115 million
- Management cited strategic clarity and enhanced capital efficiency as primary motivations for the portfolio consolidation
Japanese publicly-traded company Remixpoint has completely divested from all alternative cryptocurrencies, maintaining Bitcoin as its singular digital asset holding.
The firm liquidated its positions in Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin on the first day of September. These combined sales totaled approximately $5.5 million, yielding net profits of roughly $742,000.
The Ethereum position delivered a $379,000 profit. Solana generated returns of $311,000. XRP contributed approximately $72,000 in gains. Meanwhile, Dogecoin represented the portfolio’s sole loss, recorded at $21,000 below its fiscal year opening valuation.
Meme Coin Represents Sole Unprofitable Position
Prior to liquidation, Remixpoint maintained a position of 2.8 million Dogecoin tokens. The company sold this entire holding for approximately $234,000, representing a value beneath the position’s carrying value from the beginning of the current fiscal period.
This deficit reflects measurement against the fiscal-year book valuation rather than the initial acquisition cost.
The Dogecoin underperformance is particularly noteworthy given the token’s established presence within Japan’s cryptocurrency ecosystem. Japanese regulated exchanges have supported Dogecoin trading since 2022.
Furthermore, the Japan Virtual and Crypto Assets Exchange Association introduced an official Dogecoin/JPY benchmark rate this year, positioning it among elite digital assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana.
Strategic Direction Following Portfolio Consolidation
According to company statements, Remixpoint conducted comprehensive assessments of market dynamics and individual asset risk-return characteristics before executing the sales. The organization indicated that consolidating resources into Bitcoin serves to streamline its investment approach and optimize capital utilization.
The firm’s current holdings comprise roughly 1,506 Bitcoin, representing a market value exceeding $115 million based on prevailing prices.
This position establishes Remixpoint as Japan’s third-largest corporate Bitcoin accumulator, per Bitcoin Treasuries tracking data.
Additionally, Remixpoint has generated passive income through Bitcoin lending programs. During the period spanning February 24 through August 31, the company accumulated 14.92 Bitcoin through lending operations, representing approximately $1 million in value.
The profits from the alternative cryptocurrency liquidations will be recognized during the second quarter of the fiscal year concluding in March 2027.
Prior to the sales, Remixpoint’s cryptocurrency portfolio included approximately 901 Ethereum tokens, 13,920 Solana tokens, 1.19 million XRP, and 2.8 million Dogecoin.
The aggregate market valuation of these four digital assets at the time of divestment totaled approximately $5.3 million.
Remixpoint finalized the complete exit from alternative cryptocurrencies on September 1, with official disclosure documentation submitted on Wednesday.
Bitcoin constitutes the company’s exclusive cryptocurrency investment as of the official filing date.
