The transaction will include a unique component, as part of the payment will be made using BENJI tokens. These tokens are associated with Franklin's initiatives in blockchain-based mutual funds. This strategic move aims to enhance Franklin's offerings in the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency market.
Currently, Franklin Resources shares are trading at approximately $23.4. The addition of a dedicated cryptocurrency arm is expected to complement the company's traditional asset management services, positioning it to better serve investors interested in digital assets.
