BNP Paribas Downgrades QUALCOMM Amid Smartphone Market Challenges

QUALCOMM Incorporated, a major player in the semiconductor industry, has been downgraded by BNP Paribas from Outperform to Neutral. This decision was made by analyst David O’Connor, who also reduced the company's price target from $180 to $120.

O’Connor highlighted ongoing difficulties in the smartphone market as a key factor influencing this downgrade. He indicated that there appears to be no immediate resolution to the challenges facing the smartphone sector, which could impact QUALCOMM's performance in the near future.

Despite the downgrade, QUALCOMM remains a part of a select group of high dividend stocks identified by billionaire investor Ray Dalio, reflecting its ongoing appeal to certain investors.
