The collaboration software maker experienced approximately 7% gains during the session and has rallied an impressive 124% across the last six months.
The rally followed Atlassian’s impressive fourth fiscal quarter performance, with adjusted earnings per share of $1.87 substantially beating Wall Street’s $1.50 consensus projection. Total revenue reached $1.77 billion, exceeding analyst expectations of $1.66 billion and representing 28% annual growth.
The company’s cloud business proved particularly robust, expanding 31% year-over-year to $1.21 billion. Deferred revenue metrics, specifically remaining performance obligations, surged 44% to $4.8 billion, signaling healthy future revenue streams.
The reporting period also represented Atlassian’s initial GAAP operating profitability in more than 24 months, achieving a 12% operating margin. This accomplishment captured significant attention from the investment community.
Wave of Positive Analyst Revisions
On Tuesday, Royal Bank of Canada elevated Atlassian to “Moderate Buy,” joining a growing list of favorable analyst actions. Truist Financial increased its price objective from $160 to $185 while maintaining its Buy stance. Jefferies established a $200 price target. BMO Capital Markets substantially raised its projection from $95 to $175 alongside an Outperform designation.
Bank of America elevated the shares to Buy status and increased its target to $175. FBN Securities boosted its objective to $170 with an Outperform rating. Robert W. Baird established a $200 price target.
However, not all analysts share the optimistic outlook. TD Cowen maintains a Hold recommendation with a $145 objective, while Zacks Research downgraded the shares to Hold in June.
Overall, 25 Wall Street analysts recommend buying TEAM shares, four suggest holding, and one advises selling. The average price target stands at $178.63.
