AST SpaceMobile's BlueBird 7 Satellite Deployed Incorrectly, Rendered Unusable
AST SpaceMobile has announced that its BlueBird 7 satellite was deployed into an incorrect orbit during its inaugural commercial launch, which was conducted by Blue Origin. This misdeployment has resulted in the satellite being unusable for its intended services.
The company plans to deorbit BlueBird 7 and has indicated that it expects insurance coverage to mitigate the financial impact of the loss. Despite this setback, AST SpaceMobile's management has reaffirmed its commitment to its overall launch schedule and constellation development goals.
