      West Virginia American Water Invests $815,000 in Huntington Infrastructure

      HUNTINGTON, W.Va., March 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- West Virginia American Water is pleased to announce an $815,000 infrastructure upgrade project on South Walnut Street in Huntington.

      "This is a significant investment into the Huntington community that helps strengthen the system and improve reliability for the customers we serve," said Scott Wyman, president of West Virginia American Water. "It's another example of our commitment to our customers and to providing safe, clean, reliable and affordable water service."

      The project is taking place on South Walnut Street from Norway Avenue to Roland Park Drive. The project will replace 1,600 feet of aging pipe with 6-inch PVC main. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of June, and the final street restoration will be completed in the fall of 2026. Crews will work ...
