The most significant divestment involved 46,015 shares of Twist Bioscience through the ARKK ETF, representing approximately $5.8 million in value. This continues ARK’s ongoing reduction of its Twist Bioscience stake spanning multiple weeks.
Additional sales included 60,556 shares of 10X Genomics valued at roughly $4 million, along with 121,217 shares of Bullish totaling approximately $4.1 million. ARK also executed smaller transactions involving Tempus AI, GeneDx Holdings, and Alphabet.
Regarding acquisitions, ARK secured nearly 115,000 shares of Intellia Therapeutics, representing approximately $1.4 million. This purchase continues ARK’s consistent accumulation strategy for the gene-editing company throughout the previous week.
Major Meta Investment Signals AI Conviction
ARK allocated a combined $27.9 million toward Meta Platforms shares on September 9 through two separate funds. Meta’s stock currently trades approximately 18% below its record peak.
According to ARK’s research analysts, Meta’s massive base of 3.6 billion daily active users across its applications represents a significant competitive moat. During the second quarter, Meta achieved revenue growth of 28% compared to the prior year. CEO Mark Zuckerberg highlighted that Meta’s advertising business is experiencing faster absolute dollar growth than any competitor in the industry.
Meta’s capital expenditure guidance for 2026 ranges between $165 billion and $169 billion. Wood’s investment thesis appears centered on these infrastructure investments ultimately driving enhanced free cash flow generation. The stock currently commands a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 21.
Significant Rocket Lab Accumulation
Between August 31 and September 8, three ARK ETFs accumulated approximately $45 million worth of Rocket Lab shares. The stock has experienced a substantial decline of nearly 60% from its peak valuation of $151 reached earlier in 2026.
Rocket Lab’s second-quarter results showed a 62% year-over-year revenue surge, accompanied by a record backlog totaling $2.36 billion. New contract bookings worth $437 million were secured since the end of March.
CEO Peter Beck characterized customer demand for launch capabilities as “extreme.” Company leadership emphasized that available launch slots extending beyond 2029 are becoming “extremely limited,” potentially positioning the company favorably as market demand intensifies.
Additionally, Rocket Lab is in the process of acquiring Iridium, which maintains a constellation of 66 satellites serving more than 2.5 million subscribers. Wood’s investment strategy appears focused on establishing Rocket Lab as a core space infrastructure holding for the long term.
ARK’s primary ARKK ETF has generated approximately 9% returns during 2026, trailing broader market indices. However, four additional ARK funds have delivered superior performance relative to the S&P 500 over the trailing three-year period.
