Pennsylvania American Water Invests $722 Million to Strengthen Water and Wastewater Service in 2025

Investments help improve reliability, water quality and fire protection for customers across the state
MECHANICSBURG, Pa., April 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania American Water announced today it invested more than $722 million in 2025 to improve water and wastewater systems serving customers in 38 counties and 436 communities across Pennsylvania. Of the total investment, approximately $638 million supported water system improvements and $84 million was invested in wastewater systems.
"Providing safe, clean and reliable water and wastewater service means investing in our systems every year," said Pennsylvania American Water President Justin Ladner. "These upgrades help reduce service interruptions, modernize aging pipes and facilities and help ensure our systems remain dependable for the families and businesses we serve – and for decades to come."
