MP Materials Expands Rare Earths Operations with New Contracts and Facilities
MP Materials has entered into a significant 10-year agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense aimed at bolstering the rare earth supply chain. This partnership highlights the company's commitment to supporting national security and advancing domestic production of critical materials.
In addition to its government contract, MP Materials has strengthened its collaboration with Apple, focusing on the supply of recycled rare earth magnets for consumer electronics. This move aligns with the growing demand for sustainable materials in technology manufacturing.
To enhance its production capabilities, MP Materials has inaugurated an in-house magnet production facility and announced plans for a new facility, referred to as the 10X facility, which is expected to further increase its manufacturing capacity. The company's stock is currently trading at $62.3, reflecting its expanding role in the rare earths market.
