Marc Randolph Reflects on Early Encounters with Jeff Bezos
Marc Randolph, co-founder of Netflix, recently shared his recollections of Jeff Bezos during a 2024 interview on The Diary of a CEO. Randolph described Bezos as having a raw and unrefined energy when they first met in 1999, a stark contrast to the polished persona he presents today.
Randolph noted that Bezos was 'extremely unpolished' at the time, highlighting the significant transformation the Amazon founder has undergone over the years. He remarked on how Bezos has become more thoughtful and physically fit, adding that his laughter has also changed, becoming more controlled compared to the exuberant laughter he exhibited in the past.
