Indiana American Water Initiates PFAS Treatment Project in Terre Haute

Indiana American Water has announced the launch of a significant project aimed at enhancing water quality in Terre Haute. The company plans to construct its second advanced drinking water treatment system specifically designed to eliminate per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

The project is estimated to cost around $19 million and is part of the company's broader efforts to improve infrastructure and address PFAS contamination across the state. This initiative follows the successful implementation of Indiana's first PFAS treatment system in Charlestown, which was completed earlier this year.
