Bybit is introducing what the exchange describes as the inaugural options contracts based on equity perpetual futures. The product becomes available starting September 17, 2026, at 8 p.m. UTC.

Initially, the platform will feature two underlying assets: SpaceX and Nvidia. Traders can access these contracts continuously throughout the day and night, unrestricted by conventional stock market operating hours.

These options differ significantly from traditional U.S. equity options by utilizing fractional lots with a one-to-one multiplier. This structure eliminates the conventional 100-share minimum requirement that often creates entry barriers for retail participants.

All contracts settle in USDT, simplifying the trading experience. Gains and losses are determined without requiring exposure to any underlying token.

Full integration with Bybit’s Unified Trading Account enables users to oversee spot positions, futures contracts, and options products from a single interface.

Trading Strategies and Margin Capabilities

The platform supports comprehensive options trading strategies. Traders can execute basic long and short positions, construct spreads, implement straddles, and deploy covered call strategies.

Portfolio margin functionality is included in the offering. This feature enables position hedging to reduce total margin obligations and is accessible to the entire user base.

According to Bybit, new expiration dates will be introduced on a regular basis. The exchange has outlined intentions to broaden its asset selection, incorporating Tesla, QQQ, SOXL, and Micron in upcoming phases.

This product launch aligns with a broader industry shift toward equity market integration. Coinbase, Kraken, and Robinhood represent several major platforms advancing toward continuous stock market access.

During July 2026, Ondo introduced a mechanism allowing traders to use tokenized equities as collateral for perpetual trading across stocks, commodities, and other asset classes. Bybit’s introduction layers options functionality onto this developing infrastructure.
