      American Water Charitable Foundation backs $250,000 utility assistance pilot for New Jersey households

      The American Water Charitable Foundation has supported the distribution of $250,000 to 1,250 eligible New Jersey households through its Keep Communities Flowing Fund. The program is designed to help pay utility bills and is described as one of the first pilot efforts of its kind.

      The foundation is a philanthropic nonprofit established by American Water, the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the United States. American Water trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker AWK.
